5255-5259 N Clark: Zoning Change Decision

After careful consideration, Alderwoman Manaa-Hoppenworth has decided to approve the zoning change request for 5255-5259 N Clark. Devil Dawgs and Heisler Hospitality are proposing a joint venture in the former location of Reza’s Restaurant in Andersonville and requested a zoning change from B1-2 to B3-2 to allow for the construction of a bar with seating within the restaurant.

This joint venture proposal is compatible with existing zoning and business uses along Clark Street and fills a prime vacant space on the Clark Street corridor. This proposal has also received overwhelmingly positive feedback from the community. The zoning change has been reviewed by the 48th Ward Zoning Advisory Council and is supported by the Andersonville Chamber of Commerce and the East Andersonville Residents’ Council (EARC).
