Ward Night Recap: July 1, 2024
Thanks to everyone who attended our July 1 Ward Night. Here’s a brief summary of what we discussed:
Zoning change requests. See development proposals here. Give feedback here.
Participatory budgeting. We hosted a series of community meetings eariler this year to discuss how to spend the ward infrastructure budget. Keep up to date with our newsletter and social media accounts for next steps! In the meantime, share your ideas with us here.
Affordable housing. There is currently a statewide ban on rent control. We’re excited about new developments that are committing to offering more affordable units than required, including the Bickerdike project.
Traffic safety on Sheridan at Foster, Bryn Mawr, and Hollywood. Please stay in contact with our office if you notice unsafe intersections in need of better infrastructure. Contact us at info@the48thward.org. For Bryn Mawr specifically, we encourage people who are interested to get involved with our Bryn Mawr Task Force.
Electric car charging ports. Continue to contact our office about the need for electric car charging ports, especially if you have ideas about where you’d like to see them!
Under L activation. Contact RPM here to ask questions or leave feedback.
