Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month 2025
Hispanic Heritage Month is a month-long celebration (September 15 - October 15) of Hispanic and Latine history and culture. It's an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the many contributions to the history and culture of the United States and the world by exploring the diverse art, film, music, dance, poetry (and more) of our Hispanic and Latine neighbors.
The 48th Ward is committed to protecting all our neighbors, especially those like the Hispanic and Latine members of our community who are increasingly at risk due to profiling and threats. Our office has shared resources for protecting yourself and your neighbors and learning more about the rights we all have, regardless of documentation status, under the U.S. constitution. We're also proud to be able to provide services in Spanish in our office. Get involved by attending events with the libraries and parks and by exploring the wide variety of Hispanic-owned businesses we have right here in the ward!
We all deserve to celebrate our unique cultures and traditions without fear of harm or retribution. This month, join our office in celebrating our Hispanic and Latine 48th Ward neighbors who make our community a vibrant and joyful place to live.
Yours in Community,
Leni Manaa-Hoppenworth
48th Ward Alderwoman
