Books on the Chopping Block - Edgewater Library

Books on the Chopping Block is City Lit Theater’s annual performance of live dramatic readings by professional actors of short excerpts taken from the top 10 most frequently challenged books in the US.
The free performance is adapted from excerpts from the top 10 most frequently challenged books of 2023 presented in a countdown from 10–1 with an audience discussion and Q&A to follow. Friends of the Edgewater Library also will have a drawing to win some “banned books.”
Support 48th Ward Libraries Through Upcoming Book Sales
Both of our local library branches have book sales coming up and are seeking donations and volunteers! Book sales are a way that library branches can raise money to support the wonderful resources and programming they provide.
