Gazebo at Park 517

With 166 positive responses from community members, Park 517 has officially been renamed “Interfaith Park!”

Interfaith Park is situated diagonally from Emanuel Congregation, a Reform Jewish congregation and synagogue that has been in its present location since 1954. A long-serving rabbi, Herman Schaalman, and his wife, Lotte, were well-known in the community for their work fostering interfaith dialogue and cooperation. The name “Interfaith Park” recognizes the lasting influence of the Schaalmans and the commitment of the community to interfaith cooperation and collaboration.
