The zoning change request for 1527 W Edgewater passed City Council this month. The owner requested a zoning change from RS-3 to RM-4.5 to allow for a 3-story residential building to replace a vacant house of worship. This zoning change request was heard by our 48th Ward Zoning Advisory Council and is supported by the Edgewater Triangle Neighborhood Association (ETNA) and Neighbors of Edgewater and Uptown (NEU).

The project includes:

  • 3-bedroom, family-sized for-sale residences

  • 4 spaces for bike parking, large enough to accommodate family cargo bikes

  • Greening the concrete parkway by replacing it with landscaping and a new tree

  • 4 parking spaces, one for each unit
