Thanks to our Summer 2025 Interns

If you called or visited our office this summer, you probably met one of our summer interns! From neighborhood services to communications to events, we couldn't have had such a productive summer without Fabreeze, Ellie, Abbey, and Dawone (pictured from left to right above)! Read about each of them below and join us in wishing them well as they take their next steps in their education and careers!

Fabreeze N - Fabreeze joined us for a second summer through One Summer Chicago. He has been a dedicated mamber of the communications team helping with photo organization, updating our community calendar, and a variety of other comms projects. He will be returning to Iowa State in the fall for year two of his engineering degree!

Ellie B - After interning with our office over her fall semester, Ellie graduated from Loyola University this past spring with degrees in history and psychology. This summer, she's came back to our office as a One Summer Chicago intern and has been a vital member of the neighborhood services team helping us answer phones and monitor traffic near ongoing construction projects!

Abbey C - Abbey returned to the 48th ward office for a second summer as our events intern! When she's not meeting neighbors and assisting with requests at events, she's here in the office helping the neighborhood services team with day to day work. After graduating from Trinity College Dublin in May, she will begin grad school at the University of Edinburgh in the fall where she will study Future Governance.

Dawone D - Dawone joined our neighborhood services team this summer as a Mikva Summer Fellow and has spent the last few months working on neighborhood outreach, traffic surveys, and events like the Argyle Night Market! He will begin his first year of college at Illinois State University this fall.

Thank you to our interns! Be sure to come back and visit us in the 48th ward!
