Ridge/Hollywood Sewer Main Replacement Project
The Department of Water Management (DWM) has begun work on an $8 million sewer main and lead service replacement project in the ward! Crews have begun work and rodent control has been completed at all locations for the project. No parking signs are posted on affected streets. Additional impacts are included in our newsletter on a weekly basis or as needed.
This critical infrastructure project will increase sewer capacity, which will help to address longstanding flooding issues along Glenwood. DWM tells us that the positive impact of this increased capacity will extend beyond the immediate blocks with the work. Many of the lines being replaced date back to as early as 1833.
This project is being broken up into four phases:
Jan-May: Contractor work (see area highlighted in blue above)
Feb-May: Sewer Main replacement (see area highlighted in red above)
May-Sept: Lead service line replacement (entire project area)
Ongoing: Restoration and CDOT work
Work on this project is expected to wrap up during fall 2025. Please note that project details are subject to change. Contact info@the48thward.org with questions
