48th Ward 2024 Street Sweeping Schedule

Beginning April 1, Chicago’s mechanical street sweepers will be removing debris and litter from streets. 48th ward residents can use the two images below to determine when their streets will be swept:

  1. Use the map to find your section

  2. Use the schedule to determine when your section will be swept.

  3. Note that there are roughly two dates per month. One side of the street will be swept on the first date while the other side will be swept on the second.

Parking is prohibited on streets that are being swept, and the fine for violating the parking restriction is up to $60 on first notice. Orange temporary signs will indicate which day of the week each side is being swept and the specific hours of the parking restriction. Please note that some streets also have permanently posted signs that specify either a once-per-week or two-days-per- month period when parking is prohibited for street sweeping.

For urgent street cleaning requests, contact 311. See all ward street sweeping schedules here.
