Paid Time Off Ordinance Webinar Available on YouTube
On November 9, 2023, City Council passed the Chicago Paid Leave and Paid Sick and Safe Leave Ordinance. The Ordinance guarantees up to five days of paid time off and five days of paid sick leave for all of Chicago’s workers. The Chicago Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection (BACP) hosted this webinar on December 14 to provide an overview of the ordinance. Topics included eligibility, accrual rates, potential payouts, carryover, employee usage, and employer paid time off policies.
