Join us for the Second Annual Mid-Autumn Moon Festival

2nd ANNUAL MID-AUTUMN MOON FESTIVAL

Last year’s first-ever Mid-Autumn Moon Festival was a wonderful community celebration with delicious food and fantastic entertainment. This year, enjoy the festival for the second time with us, State Rep. Hoan Huynh, Celebrate Argyle, Haibayo, Chinese Mutual Aid Association, Uptown United/Uptown Chamber of Commerce, and the Vietnamese Association of Illinois.

From Celebrate Argyle:

A major holiday in many parts of Asia, this special holiday commemorates the full harvest moon and is a time to gather with friends and family. For many, this holiday begins on or around September 17th in 2024. Other names you may see it go by are Moon Festival, Mooncake Festival, Zhongqiu Jie (China), Chuseok (Korea), Tsukimi (Japan), or Tết Trung Thu (Vietnam)!

In addition to spending time with family and friends, celebrate with community this year at the Mid Autumn Moon Festival on Argyle street on Saturday, September 21st from 12-4pm. There will be lion dancing, lantern-making, mooncakes, entertainment, and more!
