New People Spot on Devon

After years of work and planning, the new People Spot on Devon is here!

People Spots are temporary platforms adjacent to sidewalks installed by the Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT). Typically built within existing parking lanes, they expand the sidewalks creating seasonal outdoor dining space and help increase pedestrian volumes which promotes economic development.

The People Spot on Devon is just one aspect of the Elevate Devon project, a multi-year strategic plan focused on improving Devon Avenue between Sheridan Road and Ravenswood Avenue that you can read more about here.
