Earlier this year, we asked neighbors to share their feedback and concerns about CTA buses and trains. Thank you to the many members of the community that filled out our survey, making it easier for Ald. Manaa-Hoppenworth to represent the 48th ward’s interests at City Hall. CTA recently announced the details of the fall rail service schedule, which includes a 20% increase in scheduled weekly roundtrips across the network, bringing train service back to pre-pandemic levels. The following bus routes in and near the 48th ward have been returned to pre-pandemic levels of service:

  • 147 Outer DLSD Express

  • 148 Clarendon / Michigan Express

  • 9 Ashland

  • X9 Ashland Express

  • 36 Broadway

  • 50 Damen 

  • 92 Foster

  • 81 Lawrence

We continue to work with CTA to increase service, safety, and accessibility on all train and bus routes.
