Edgewater Glen Receives Historic District Designation

As reported in October 2024, the Edgewater Glen Association (EGA) spearheaded a dedicated effort for the neighborhood of Edgewater Glen—bounded roughly by Hood, Norwood, Broadway, and Clark—to be designated as a National Historic District on the National Register of Historic Places.

Per the EGA, this designation was confirmed on December 30, 2024 by the State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) and the US Department of the Interior.

Upcoming plans for the neighborhood include updating the street lamp signage to visually signify the neighborhood’s status as a historic district.

You can read more about the full effort at the Edgewater Historical Society website.
