Drop Off Food Scraps in Edgewater

The Chicago Food Scrap Drop-Off Program has a site in Edgewater at 5853 N Broadway! All Chicago residents are welcome to drop off household food scraps for composting at any of the 15 drop-off locations for FREE, and we’re so excited to have one in the ward!

Composting is one of the easiest ways to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and address the climate crisis. Composting keeps food scraps out of landfills and recycles nutrients to build healthy soils.

Visit www.ChicagoRecycles.org to sign up! On this page, you can also learn more about composting, look for drop-off sites, and read full lists of materials that will/will not be accepted.
