Letter of Support

5/6/2024

Dear Alderman Lawson,

I support Chody Real Estate’s zoning change request for 5221 N Broadway from B1-3 to B3-3. The applicant is looking to continue the redevelopment of the 5200 N Broadway lot to fill the needs of the community by allowing businesses such as Sploot veterinary care services to provide a vital service.

The applicant has gone through the 48th ward zoning change/development process and has garnered the support of the community. Given their market analysis and a gap in veterinary care services in the ward, this zoning change will bring a vibrant business to the Broadway corridor. The applicant has met with the 48th ward office to discuss feedback from the community. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to Jorge Iván Soto, on my staff at jorgeivan@the48thward.org.

Sincerely,

Leni Manaa-Hoppenworth
Alderwoman, 48th Ward
