48th Ward Office No Longer Using X

Beginning Friday, November 15, the 48th ward office will stop sharing information on X (formerly Twitter). Because X has more limited text and media allowances per post, this will reduce the time we spend editing our posts to fit the brief tweet format. In leaving X, we will also no longer have to use a separate social media scheduler, saving the office money.

To best serve our community, we have committed to keeping our website and blog up to date and sending out regular email newsletters with timely information. We will continue to focus on these as our primary methods of communication, with social media being a secondary form. Currently, you can find our office on social media via Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube (@the48thward).

Our team strives to respond to inquiries within 2-3 business days, and we are proud to maintain a phone pick-up rate of over 90% during regular business hours. Due to staff capacity, and to ensure the best possible service, we cannot guarantee a response to inquiries via social media.
