Protecting Chicago’s Sanctuary City Status

There are efforts within the Chicago City Council to challenge Chicago’s status as a Sanctuary City. Earlier today, I stood in solidarity with a diverse coalition of Chicagoans demanding continued protection for our immigrant neighbors, friends, and family.

Chicago’s status as a Sanctuary City reflects our values of inclusion, safety, and opportunity for all. You can count on me to be on the front lines of this fight, ensuring that Chicago remains a place where all residents are welcomed and protected.
